Projects like SkateNation, which focuses on working with refugee groups are something we strongly believe in. The message of skateboarding being a great tool for the integration of newly arrived groups of people in the society they arrived in.
Here in Berlin, we have seen many of the same results as described in this mini-doc by the SkateNation staff, which include strides in language and inclusion in the city’s skate scene. We hope to see more projects like these pop up in all different areas because youth work is something that matters in times when polarisation is on the rise.
All in all, great work by Jacob Hansson and the crew of SkateNation.
