A nice little something from the mean streets of NYC.
Another edition of the times.
Hotel Blue with what in our opinion is by far their best outing yet!
A New York comedy, that is what LurkNYC Nick is giving us with this new volume of his famous NY Times series. More moments than tricks in this one.
First off, this is probably one of the best Mean Streets ever, Why? It features a lot of new NYC talent, secondly, the intro really makes the streets seem as mean as possible and lastly, the music is just spot on.
So press play and prepare to see a lot of good tricks and Reebok footwear.
A new, New York Times from the LurkNYC camp. We are just going to go ahead and call this the “Let me hold that” episode. Want to know why check out the edit.
Summer in the city. LurkNYC with another “Mean Streets” feat. the Hotel Blue Squad and more.
We don’t know how Nick von Werssowetz manages to churn these montages out at the pace that he does and with the such a high level of skating in them but he sure knows how to make NYC look good!
Some really sick skaters in this, shout out to Pat Hoblin who is certainly a Place favorite.
Once again it’s LurkNYC in the streets next to the homeless and working class people. Although I’m actually an avid fan of VX footage, I’m always impressed by LurkNYC’s HD clips that still manage to keep that certain “roughness” alive somehow.
Featuring Carlos Mendoza, Giorgio Villone, Giovanni Vacca, Grady Smith, Jazz Leep, Joey Guevara, John Shanahan, Kentaro Powell, Mikey Perdomo, Nico Barrio and Pat Hoblin.
Nick’s at it again, with volume 20 of a seemingly endless series containing some of the best skating New York has seen.
Always nice to watch those cutty NYC spots with some classic Biggie playing in the background. Another new volume of Mean Streets by LurkNYC that is on point. Featuring Carlos Mendoza, Thomas Delcaprio, Nick Barrio, Grady Smith and more.
LurkNYC is back with another volume of Mean Streets. Nick von Werssowetz this time took out his HD camera to film not just in New York, but also in Montreal. Featuring Giovanni Vacca, John Shanahan, Mark Poole and Charles Deschamps, who really knows how to slappy.
Nick von Werssowetz comes with another one “..and the crowd goes wild..”! It seems like the summer in NYC this year will last forever. Watch Giovanni Vacca, Pat Hoblin, Danny Dipalo & more in Mean Streets v.4:
Dreams came true in this episode of LurkNYC’s New York Times – They are finally getting paid for skateboarding. And again, you might also find some little Placemag guest appearance. So keep your eyes open and enjoy the realness!
We don’t need to tell you that this episode of LurkNYC’s Mean Streets series is kind of special to us, still some of you might ask why? Because this video does not only document good skating in the big apple but it also chronicles some of the best days we had traveling through New York together with Nick von Werssowetz and his crew.
Featuring Alex Odonahoe, Daniel Pannemann, Danny Sommerfeld, Dylan Drew, Dylan Fulford, Grady Smith, Kurtis Colamonico, Pat hoblin, Scott Garrison, Thomas Del Carpio and Will Blakley.
One of the nicest things about the current state of the skateboard industry is that there are a lot of new companies with fresh ideas popping up and right of the bat Hotel Blue seems to be carving a lane for itself with this video. We feel that new companies tend to work out best when the person running the show has an opinion of his own and since this company is run by the same person that created LurkNYC we are sure the company will have a strong direction. All in all, we like the vibe, the team, the skating, and this clip, and if you do too, you should familiarize yourself with Hotel Blue.
Featuring Giovanni Vacca, Adam Becerra, Mark Poole, Dylan Fulford, and Will Blakley.
New York City meets Boston! Once again a great edit by the guys of LurkNYC accompanied by smooth beats and mean lifestyle shots. Featuring Giovanni Vacca, Mathieu Thibeault, Danny Dipalo, Will Mazari, Aiden Chenard, Alex Odonahoe, Mark Poole, and John Shanahan.
While most of the PLACE colleagues are directly on the New York City ground skating right now with the guys from LurkNYC, I can get some of the vibes, too. Always a good watch!
