Carhartt WIP is often one of the anchor points where art and skateboarding join together to form a synthesis. Both live together, working in unison.

We took a little excerpt from Carhartt themselves for those that want to delve deeper into what that all means:

“Carhartt WIP Skateboarding has collaborated with renowned international art institution Galleria Continua. The project is centered around a new, experimental skate space at the gallery’s location in Boissy-le-Châtel, an hour east of the French capital. The snake run was created by MBL architects and Bureau D. Apheceix, using a series of free-form, artisanal techniques that allows the structure to blend in with its surrounding landscape.

Being Irish has not always been easy, the rule of Vikings, the British and the subsequent split of a nation would make any people go slightly mad.

It is rumored that Sigmund Freud himself said about the Irish:

“This is the one race of people for whom psychoanalysis is of no use whatsoever”?.

Many of the Irish know this quote but still Bray’s own son Phil Evans thought to himself “Feck it, it’ll be grand!” and made a portrait of Denis Lynn anyway.

After I have been absent for almost a year, I am more than happy to take up my work again at my beloved Placemag. And to start things off by posting a clip of my treasured friend Romain Batard is more than I could have asked for. As it is with every Batard-edit, Giddy #6 provides playful skateboarding at its best, where Romain makes even the smallest tricks look great through his classic Century MK1.

Featuring Rémy Taveira, Felipe Bartolome, Oscar Candon, Joseph Biais, Roger Gonzalez, Mickaël Germond, Alastair Pathé, Charles Giron, Edouard Depaz, Denis Lynn, Morgan Katomba, Lilian Fev, Roland Hoogwater, Danny Sommerfeld, Martino Cattaneo, Guillaume Colucci, Masaki Ui, Tom O’Reilly, Igor Fardin, Casey Brown, and Conor Charleson.

Special greetings go out to you Romain & Edouard. Hope to see you guys soon. Yours, Placemagpaule.

About ten minutes of more than just remnants of several trips The National Skateboard Co. undertook to produce their first full length. Especially the Paris section is lovely.
