Vans Skateboarding just released a new European-based video called “Much Quiet” via our friends over at Free and we highly recommend you to watch it. The almost thirty(!) minutes long edit is definitely worth the watch. Sirus F. Gahan did an amazing job filming and editing this one! We were especially hyped about the Helena Long opener part. What do you do when your last video marked the end of a VHS era? You run straight to the competition Betamax! When both VHS and Betamax were launched it was obvious that the latter had the better quality system. Unfortunately for that system VHS had better marketing and thus Betamax died a slow death until Palace managed to revive it.

Lakai BB4 UK Wear Test
Das englische Lakai Team um Nick Jensen, Danny Brady, Charlie Munro, Jason Cloete, Mikey Patrick und Alex Barton hat das neue BB4 Modell auf Herz und Nieren getestet. Der Edit aus dem Pioneer Skatepark kann sich sehen lassen und wir fragen uns, wieviel Pop man eigentlich haben kann – Stichwort Nollie Crooks.
Palace x Tate
Die Tate Britain ist ein Museum in London, in dem die weltweit größte Sammlung britischer Kunst vom 16. bis zum 21. Jahrhundert gezeigt wird. Lev Tanju hat sich in eben dieses begeben, um sich für die neue Boardkollektion von Palace Skateboards inspirieren zu lassen. Der Ansatz ist wirklich interessant und das Resultat sehenswert. Das folgende Video zeigt die Entstehung der neuen Serie und wie diese von Brady, Lucien und Co. auf Londons Straßen getestet werden.
Definitely Brady – Palace Skateboards
Warum Palace Skateboards gerade der heiße Scheiß sind und warum die Skate-Welt komplett auf das Label aus London ausrastet, ist noch immer nicht geklärt. Ein Grund dafür dürfte die Herangehensweise von Mastermind Lev Tanju an deren Videoproduktionen sein. Im neuesten Edit zeigt der charismatische Danny Brady, warum er zweifelsohne sein Promodel auf Palace verdient hat.

Der Vans Downtown Showdown hat in Paris eine neue Episode in seine Historie gemeißelt. Man könnte sagen, ALLE aus Europa waren da. Besonders der französichen Szene hat dieser Event gut getan, schließlich fehlt es seit Längerem an einem großen internationalen Event bei unseren Nachbarn. Wir waren vor Ort und den (frontside) Artikel dazu wird es in der kommenden Ausgabe 43 zu sehen geben. Bis dahin gibt es einen kurzen Einblick auf die Rückseite des Events.
