Emerica – a new Kevin “Spanky” Long colorway and part.
Spanky went from being a child star that transformed into an elusive creative skater who slowly got a skateboard burnout (no pun intended) but finally came full circle and retrieved his love for the board.
One may be able to argue that Mr. Long is indeed a legend, he surely influenced a lot of people and as such he is deserving of this Emerica colorway.
Emerica France – Demonomania
The French Emerica team went on a trip to Marseille and took Rémy Barreyat with them to film this clip.
“Demonomania” features Alex Richard, PJ Chapuis, Etienne Gros, Olivier Boucle and Matisse Banc.
Heath Kirchart: The Mayor of UCI
No one will ever be like him. Heath Kirchart made the University of California Irvine famous for their heavy spots. Therefore Joey Sinko put together a little documentary about a historic battleground for skateboarding.
Emerica – The Wino G6
Jeremy Leabres and Jon Dickson introduce to you the new Emerica shoe The Wino G6. Although it’s a rather short clip it maybe will seduce you to go watch your favorite Emerica full length once again.

No one does it like Jerry Hsu does. This is highly entertaining footage for us and borderline crazy commitment on Jerry’s side.
Baker – Promo Video
Let’s start at the end and work our way to the start. Young Rowan is turning pro and rightfully so! He has been ripping quite hard for quite some time now and if he is able to bring back that late nineties Slash hat Vans needs to give him a shoe! The rest of the team is edited together in a montage. some have more some have less footage but most of them come through. Most notably Dustin Dollin who has been skating like he is a danger to his own health, comes through with a Boulala-escque power move! All in all the Baker promo does what it promises and it does it all to a soundtrack that goes well with your morning coffee and that is a very good thing.
Heath Kirchart – Hammer Hall of Fame
One of the best who ever did it – Mister Heath Kirchart. This is Jim Greco’s House Of Hammers with Heath in a very graceful best of edit about a Legend in the right context. Also, Nirvana is a pretty damn good fit.
Brandon Westgate neu auf Element
Brandon Westgate hat seinen langjährigen Boardsponsor Zoo York verlassen und ist ab sofort für Element Skateboards unterwegs. Der Wechsel des Eastcoast Powerhouse kommt ein bisschen überraschend, aber immerhin können wir uns so über einen Welcome Clip freuen, der es in sich hat – wie schnell kann man eigentlich unterwegs sein?
Back to Pro: Kevin “Spanky” Long
Kevin “Spanky” Long ist nach seinem Downgrade von Pro zum Amateur Status wieder mit einem eigenen Board auf Baker Skateboards ausgestattet. Und auch bei Emerica ist er seit neustem wieder als Pro gelistet.
Andrew Reynolds dazu:
“I think the biggest turning point for him came after he had decided to quit drinking and started to see how much stuff he could get done without that partying lifestyle. Fortunately, he’s still super young and can make such a big change in time so that he’s still able to get out there and kill it.
Having to call dudes up like, “You’re not gonna have a pro board anymore, man. The time’s up.” It really sucked. That was my first time ever having to do that and it definitely does not feel good.
The fact is that you can’t be a professional skateboarder forever. I’m not going to be one forever. Spanky’s not. Nobody is. But Spanky’s just been skating so much. A year went by and you can still see how serious he’s taking it. He’s filming so hard for this Emerica video when at first, we honestly weren’t so sure about it. But he’s out there skating like a professional skateboarder, bringing his board back felt like the right thing to do.”
Kevin Spanky Long filmt zur Zeit einen Part für Emerica Made: Chapter Two und konnte wohl während den Dreharbeiten beweissen, dass er ein eigenes Pro Board verdient.

Altamont Presents Andrew Reynolds “Polaroids”
Andrew Reynolds spricht über sein Faible für Polaroid Fotografie und wie er somit eine ganze Ära völlig unbewusst dokumentieren konnte. Von den frühen Birdhouse Tagen über die Gründung der legendären Piss Drunx bishin zur Emerica Mansion – “The Boss” konnte Geschichte ablichten.

Figgys erster Schuh auf Emerica ist da. “The Figueroa” eignet sich prima für FS Flips über Handrails in eine Bank. Was der Schuh sonst noch so drauf hat, wird vorerst geheim gehalten.

Andrew Reynolds hat gemeinsam mit Nixon eine Capsule Collection auf die Beine gestellt, die es in sich hat. Der Boss hatte völlig freie Hand was Auswahl der Items und deren Gestaltung betrifft – herausgekommen sind allerlei Produkte für den täglichen Gebrauch. Im Video erzählt er wie es dazu kam, einem Gürtel als Quell seiner Inspiration und was die Kollektion für ihn besonders macht:

Eigentlich nur eine Werbespot für eine Skateboard Rolle. Eigentlich! Brandon Westgate kann Sachen die kein anderer kann. Na ja, vielleicht kaufst du dadurch ganz unterbewusst beim nächsten Mal einen Satz Ricta Wheels, scheint ja ganz gut damit zu gehen.
Kevin Baekkel Emerica Part
Den Namen haben wir noch nie gehört. Kevin Baekkel kommt angeblich aus Norwegen, mehr wissen wir auch nicht. Emerica passt und Amerika kann ja auch noch warten.
EMERICA WILD IN THE STREETS 2014 – MEXICO CITY
Wenn Andrew Reynolds, Leo Romero, Spanky und co. in Mexico City sind, kommen die Changos aus ihrem Domicilio gestürmt um mit den nordamerikanischen Skateboard Pros Cerveza zu trinken und La China zu rauchen. Parallel dazu liefern die Jungs aus den U.S.A Martillos ab, als ob es keinen Manana geben würde. Eniz Fazliov Is Pro
Der Finne Eniz Fazliov ist seit neustem Pro für Frank Skateboards. Überrascht wurde er vor wenigen Tagen in Helsinki vom Brand Papa Dallas Rockvam persönlich.
