The way Malte Spitz is using the skateboard is nothing but aesthetic. Skating for Radio Skateboards, he found himself in just the right balance of good and evil – in a very positive way, as a matter of course. Next to Radio, he recently got on State Footwear. Thank you and congratulations,Malte. Always a pleasure! Filmed by Dan Schulz.

Franz Grimm – “Tfw idk”
“As a little boy, I used to wonder how people know how much milk they have to pour in their coffee for it to be the way they want it to be. More precisely, is the color of the coffee actually related to its taste and its strength? Life went on and enigmas of this type got solved by themselves: You pour the milk and hope for the best. By doing it every morning, you just get the flow. Nowadays, I don’t even need a timer to cook pasta anymore. I just try the spaghetti when I feel like it might be good.
Anyways, things look the same way on a larger scale: You ask yourself how to lead this tyrannic symphony of existence involving girls, getting enough sleep, washing dishes, skateboarding, paperwork, friendships, the past, the present, the future, online banking, buying new socks, career, trying to be cool, healthy food, holidays, girls, skateboarding, the future etc. Good thing is that in the end it all happens by itself and you just pour the goddamn milk, worst case scenario is that you end up with some kind of latte macchiato.
And now, here’s a little video that may be useful if you ever happen to need a life-coach.”
Valentin Ott – Oh Snap
Our man Dan Schulz just keeps dropping parts, so many that we started to question if he still secretly goes out filming. We can’t complain about it though, with parts like these dropping.

Paul Herrmann – Demain
After a little drought (it was winter after all) Paul Herrmann is back with another episode of his video column and to be honest, we feel like it is his best one yet. Don’t just rely on us though, make up your own mind and watch Kevin Vietzke, Timo Meiselbach, Skkinz, Luis Waterkamp and more in Demain.
Alex van Zwietering – U-Bahn
A few days ago Alex van Zwietering and some homies were in Berlin to film some skating, and the clip is already out. His broken wrist, in a cast, didn’t keep Alex from filming, if needed he went switch handed and you’re not going to notice.
“U-Bahn” features Remco Staak, Bram Schlangen, Fabio Witkamp, Gijs Visser, Schaldi Scharbaar, Pepijn van Houdt, Ruud Rijkers & Peter Buikema.

OHSNAPVIDEO – Michel Funke
Michel Funke’s Section from “Oh Snap” comes with an O.G. feeling to it. Raw skating from one of Berlin’s finest.
PROJECT DSS 2017 DESIGN SESSION – Photo Recap
Yesterday everybody gathered at the #ProjectDSS skate park to create, show and discuss their designs. Brains were being stormed and ideas got put to Jan Kliewer who also offered up his own views.
During the open session, locals and visitors skated the park together, while the crowd seemed to constantly switch between watching the session, the BBQ and “the bar” creating a relaxed atmosphere.
For those who were there go check if you made it into our photo recap and if you didn’t check the photos out anyway because there is some funny cool in there.
Special thank you goes out to Nike SB, Yamato Living Ramps, Titus Berlin and 1. Berliner Skateboard e.V.for making this event happen.

PROJECT DSS 2017 – Design Session
After the success of last years Nike SB Project DSS sessions, it is finally time to open a new chapter for 2017.
The expansion of the #ProjectDSS park that we have all enjoyed over the last year is a priority; and just like last year, your opinion matters. Therefore Nike SB dropped of some #ProjectDSS Design Boxes at Civilist, Titus Berlin, Titus Zoopreme, Nike Store Berlin and the Nike SB Shelter. Starting today, you can drop off your ideas, sketches, opinions or tips in one of the boxes at one of the locations mentioned above and please do not hesitate to ask , we are very looking forward for see your ideas.
Nike SB in collaboration with Yamato Living Ramps and 1. Berliner Skateboard e.V. will host a Design Session at the DSS. The event will take place on Friday, May 12th starting at 17:00.
This event is meant as a Brainstorming session. Jan Kliewer will be present to discuss your ideas and the future of DSS. Like last year this event is not only about the new design, there will be some skating including a BBQ session with drinks supplied by the nice folks over at Titus Berlin.
Head over to to the Facebook Event to save the date.

Catherine Marquis Berlin VX Clip
We want more girls like Catherine Marquis! She came to Berlin for seven days with only shitty weather and left with a VX full part and a handful of very good and almost unknown spots. Keep up the good work, Catherine and Christian Pelz.
Patrick Bös – Street Life
One time ÉS Game of skate winner and legendary Cologne skater Patrick Bös just hit the internet with his newest part and truth be told it features some of his best footage to date (that last line was particularly great).
We also feel that respect must be given to the fact that Herr Bös still manages to put out good parts at a somewhat later skate age combined with a serious job as a teacher.
At the same time, we like the fact that he is an outspoken person that has been around the block and has seen trends come and go.
We suggest you give his part a watch and then read his blog
Daniel Ledermann, Justin Sommer & Philipp Oehmige – OH SNAP VIDEO
This video part shows you the fruits of the shelter, a place to evolve your skateboarding to the next level. The difference is most kids can’t take that next step and take those tricks to some of those imperfect streets spots. These guys obviously transcended that and did some of their best stuff to date.
Thus we want to give a little shout out to Max Obert for his tre-flip down the double set and Justin Sommer’s Rewe line and fs flip over the Warschauer tracks, great stuff guys!
Roland Hirsch & André Gerlich – OH SNAP
We would like to say Fuck You Dan Schulz, Fuck you for making us miss Wassertorplatz and Fuck you for posting this right when the weather is getting good! Lord knows what we would give for a nice little WTP session, maybe we should drive by and pour one out R.I.P.
On the other hand, We love you, Dan! We love you because you gave us some good and new Roland Hirsch footy! Hirschi’s footy can make you thirsty, it can make you stop by the corner store to get beer on the way to work, it can turn you into Dustin Dollin when you really want to be Andrew Reynolds. You catch my drift watch this thing!
Farid Ulrich & Joscha Aicher – Oh Snap
If you have read the latest issue of our magazine, you might be familiar with Farid Ulrich. If you aren’t, you will remember his name after watching this part. Watch Farid share a part with Joscha Aicher in the Oh Snap Video by Dan Schulz.
A Perfect Day at the Bay
Luckily, the really cold days in Berlin are finally over. While most of us, more or less, spent their whole winter inside some indoor skate parks, Pascal Reif, Fabian Zaja and filmer Tobe Feitsch decided to venture outside and take a slippery ride over a frozen bay of Berlin’s Spree river for one day, which apparently has been a really enjoyable activity.
Pascal Reif – Oh Snap
Long enough Dan Schulz has kept us on tenterhooks. Now with Pascal Reif‘s part, finally the Oh Snap video is about to be available online, part by part however, but that’s okay with me!
Quirin Staudt – “Whats left” PART
Quirin Staudt once got called “Berlin’s answer to Bryan Herman“. Well, we can definitely see some resemblance every here and there. But, for us, it’s more the title of the video that got us confused – “What’s left” does it point to the fact that Quirin sometimes does not know what is left and what is right? Totally awkward bag of switch stance tricks. In a positive meaning, of course! Good one, Dan & Quirin!
Iriedaily – Wherehouse
Necsessity is the mother of ingenuity. Thus, during the harsh wintertime in Berlin a part of the Iriedaily warehouse got transformed into a wonderful DIY indoor park. I suggest you better become friends with Valle Rosomako and if you are lucky he probably invites you for the next after work sesh, too.
Featuring Valeri Rosomako, Malte Spitz, Konstantin Rutschmann, Carsten Beneker, Tjark Thielker, Thanos Panou and Roland Hirsch.
KIM “KONG” CONTI – NO FUSS
Kim Conti speaks more than three languages, lives in three place at the same time and has a three minute part out. Let the conspiracy theorys begin. Smooth one, Kim!
Shot and edited by Arthur Couvat for Cinquieme Terrasse.

Tempelhof – thatstrangewhitestuff
We remember a couple of years ago the Tempelhof Vogelfreiheit skate spot used to be a quiet place to skate.but things have changed, slowly but surely Adam Sello’s efforts have grown to been appreciated more and more with people steadily enjoying all the possibilities that the place to offer. Our entire staff basically spent the whole summer skating there.
But these guys just couldn’t let it go and decided that no matter the weather they had to get their slides in, with or without trucks. It truly looks like a fun time, it is a shame that today the snow melted away again. There is always this video, though.
