More than ten years ago Antisocial skate shop out of Vancouver, Canada released a video. It was one of those videos that I would watch before I would go skating, it had a nice mix of art, skateboarding and interesting music. After this release things seemed to become quiet, until I checked my Tumblr last night and found this clip, what a pleasant surprise! It is a promo for the new Antisocial video that will come out next spring. Hopefully something I’ll be watching before going out to skate!

Skateboarder look at things differently, just think about the urban environment with all it’s stairs, ledges or handrails – in short: spots. This kind of thinking makes many skateboarders sort of creative and so it’s no surprise, that many of us end up working in creative trades. PLAN 9 presents “Skate Trades”, a documentary that shows the connection between skateboarding and trades. The 22 minute film entered into many international film festivals and is now online for your viewing pleasure, due to privacy settings, we’re not able to embed the video… Click here to watch “Skate Trades” on Vimeo, it’s perfect for rainy saturdays…

This July, the adidas Skateboarding team went on tour again, although it feels like these guys are on tour all the time, which is actually pretty sick! #3stripes3cities was the motto for this particular one with stops in Berlin, Hannover and Hamburg. Today we present the first part of three – Berlin, where the adidas Skate Copa Event kicked off the tour. Expect some excellent streetskating by Lem Villemin, Phil Anderson, Valeri Rosomako, Benny Fairfax, Patrick Zentgraf and Sandro Trovato:

Here is Simo Mäkelä`s brand new Full Part and this is what we think about it:

MftHelsinki is dope! Good to see that local shops release such good videos.

– Making jokes of weird finnish drunk people is funny. Doing it on handicapped dudes is not.

– You can see if someone is a good skater just from his ability to push – so Simo is.

– VX ’til I die.

– Was Simo on hs way to the doubleset in Copenhagen but bailed? Dopest line anyway (01:21 min)

– Very good second song! Epic but not too epic. Just cool-epic.

– SW TRE!

The 4 Skateboard Company is amongst our favorite brands from down under, they have released a couple of projects that were on heavy pre-sesh rotation. Their most recent video combines still and moving images that create a strong atmosphere – featuring Louie Dodd, Casey Foley, Ricky Watt, Morgan Campbell, Mike Martin, Harry Clark as well as guest skaters Ben Hermans and Kaloe Kaaikala.

Supra just released a 5 minute clip, schowing the best of Spencer Hamilton. Here’s what we thought while watching this journey all around the globe…

– Spencer smokes while doing huge SW BS Kickflips – 1:03
– Spencer has a faible for coloured wheels – 1:12
– Spencer is real ghetto… See 1:54
– Was that Jaws at 3:57?
– Where’s the play again button?

The Öctagon squad returns with a new clip showcasing the talents of Valentin Bauer, Joseph Biais, Bram de Cleen, Edouard Depaz, Remy Taveira and more. Black and white footy straight from the future. Excellent soundtrack included:

Öctagon is totalitarian. Every human notion has been replaced by data and individuals are constantly under surveillance, which is insured by Surveyör. The program is checking the data transformation to their tasks state.

We just discovered this wonderful video over at vimeo – what a romantic story:

What started as the DC Downhill Club (DCDC) has grown into DC Drain and Clean – a group of skateboarders from the Washington, DC area who have made it their mission to seek out backyard pools to drain and skate – making unique friendships along the way.

Sami Harithi is one of the very few skateboarders from Germany that have made a lasting impact on an international level – we already told you last week. In the game since the early 90ies, Sami has seen a lot trends come and go, good times and crisis. The most important fact about this humble person is, that Sami is still around, skating every spot that passes his way – after all those years, his passion for skateboarding burns as hot as ever, he even filmed a new part in Berlins Shelter. See Sami amongst his friends Farid Ulrich, Lennie Burmeister, Denny Pham and Michi Mackrodt. Style is forever!

Today sees the release of the Suicidal Tendencies x Titus Collabo, which consists of a cruiser board, hoodies, T-shirts, a snapback cap and some patches – everything in classic black and white style. Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir once stated: “Music and Skateboarding together is a very powerful thing” – we definetely agree:
